The “Be Hungrier” Campaign

Life starts with hunger.

The gnawing, ravenous need for sustenance is what keeps you alive from the moment you open your eyes. You don’t know why you want things — you just do.

Hunger is about more than food. It’s about need. A need for experience, for connection, for praise. A need to do what’s never been done before.

That primal instinct — the one that tells you, “I want more,” — can’t be tamed. Nor should it. Because it's the hungry who break records, who build bridges, who face their enemies head on.

When the world feels too big, you need a hunger to match it. Don’t nibble around the edges of life — take it further. Rip and claw like a beast coming out of hibernation. It’s time to embrace that urge to do big things, that lust for success.

It’s time to be hungrier.

Extensions

  • Who's Hungry?

For this extension, Subway will bake the world’s largest chocolate chip cookie. (The current record is 102 feet wide.) After the giant cookie is cut into foot long pieces, Subway will hold a cookie eating contest. The winner will earn free Subway for life.

  • Halloween Cookie Drop: Be A Cookie Monster

Subway will partner with PBS and Sesame Street to release a blue, “Cookie Monster” cookie that’s topped with crumbs from our classic chocolate chip. Available all October, this Halloween cookie will remind customers that not all monsters are scary. In fact, some are downright loveable. So why not feed your inner monster with a tasty treat? Proceeds from the Cookie Monster cookies will go to No Kid Hungry.

  • Hungry Hounds Chewy Collab

Dogs are famously hungry – so hungry that they’ll dig through the trash for the chance of a tasty morsel. August 26 is National Dog Day, so we’d like to make things a little easier on them. For the month of August, if you buy a foot long cookie, you get a free foot long dog treat, made just for Subway by our friends at Chewy.
